Xcaret - A day of fun for all
Xcaret is a fun filled park Promoted as an 'eco-archeological'
park, Xcaret (ish-car-et), it is a resort playground that combines Maya ruins with
tranquil coves, inlets, grottos, natural wells and an underground river. Originally
known as Pol, meaning 'place of trade,' it was the pre-Hispanic port for Maya canoes
to the sacred island of Cozumel.

The Ruin & A Swim
Day trips frequently include a swimming/snorkeling stop at Xel- Há after the hot sun at the Tulum ruins.
Its a great idea and worth doing even if youre on your own. Xel-Há park is fairly close by, back up the road toward Playa.
