I really enjoyed my stay at Playa Maya. The staff was excellent and the rooms were very clean. We had 22 people in our group from ages 4 to 60+. They accomodated all of our needs. The food at the hotel was very good/reasonably priced. They had a local bakery prepare a surprise birthday cake for one of our group and decorated her room to top it off. They helped us out immensely by having a doctor make a house call to the hotel - one of the kids required a few stitches in his head from some rough housing play in the pool. One of the staff even offered to drive us to the doctor's office. The employees at the hotel get an A++! Nice family place.

We really enjoyed staying at Playa Maya. The rooms are dated could use new linens but they were clean and the employees were outstanding would definitely stay there again.

Excellent value for the price. Stayed in room 304 and the view was gorgeous. The balcony was large enough for two to sit comfortably, and the room was well cleaned and maintained every day. The location is perfect, just close enough to everything to be convenient, but not in the middle of the noise. Definitely would recommend to others. The beach was a little rocky right in front of the hotel, but we would just walk a block or so down and there is a really nice area where you can rent chairs with no rocks.

The hotel was situated in a great location on the beach.The staff were very friendly and helpful.I would have liked it better if there had been another entrance to the hotel from the street.I had recently fractured my ankle and found walking on the sand not as easy as walking on paved surface. Anyhow the trip was very good minus the air travel!We loved the town of Playa Del Carmen and will go to that location next year. Eileen

The Playa Maya was a very nice hotel. Our room was missing a little bit of furniture, but they took care of that once we notified them.
The location of the Playa Maya is excellent for the downtown activities, shopping, restaurants, etc. The beach in front of the hotel is not as nice as most of the beaches in the Cancun area. The water is a little dirty and rocky.

This is a lovely hotel right on the beach. It was very clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and most helpful, especially Ida who worked the front desk. My husband, daughter, and I will definitely return to this quaint, quiet, and perfect little hotel. Breakfast is served at tables right on the sand. So every morning our daughter swam in the turquoise sea as we waited for our food. It was a beautiful way to start the day.

We had a really great time. Everyone was very, very nice. The hotel is in a great spot! We loved having breakfast on the beach!
